She is Fierce: An Introduction
There’s a line from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream that has always stayed with me: “And though she be but little, she is fierce.”
For me, this phrase captures something powerful: the quiet, unshakable fire that lives within every woman. It’s the strength that surfaces when life tests her, the courage that steadies her when she doubts herself, and the resilience that rebuilds her when she’s been broken.
She is Fierce was born from that fire, from the belief that every woman carries within her an untapped reservoir of strength, wisdom, and self-worth waiting to be reclaimed. The phrase is also a reminder that what we see on the surface can sometimes be misleading. No matter how a woman is viewed (little, loud, shy, confident), she is a force to be reckoned with.
While the adjective fierce can be associated with aggression and anger, what I correlate it to is being ferociously passionate, brave, and bold. In my mind, a woman who is fierce draws from inner strength that manifests in her attitude and actions - both towards herself and others. A fierce woman is one who is passionate about everything she does and is not afraid to face challenges head on. She is the kind of woman who pushes failure aside and keeps trying until she gets it right. She is not afraid to speak her mind and is impeccable with her words.
At its heart, She is Fierce is a space where women are invited to reconnect with their power, not the kind defined by the world, but the kind that grows from within. The work I do at She is Fierce strives to unleash and foster that inner ferocity. Committing to taking care of yourself takes dedication, hard work, and a good dose of fearlessness. My ultimate goal is to work with women to give them the tools they need to live happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.
Forged by fire, guided by light.
